The Thermo-Vacuum Degassing, Capsule Filling and Sealing System is intended for the preparation of granule-filled HIP capsules under controlled vacuum conditions. The equipment provides heating and degassing of granules, vacuum filling of capsules, hermetic sealing of filled capsules, and processing of both homogeneous and functionally graded fills. The process concept is aimed at achieving specified fill density, effective degassing of difficult granular beds, objective optimization of degassing parameters, and reliable sealing of powder/granule-filled capsules prior to HIP.

The system is designed to support the preparation of granule-filled capsules for HIP by combining vacuum heating, degassing, controlled filling and reliable hermetic sealing within a single process route. It is intended for operations where the quality of degassing and the stability of capsule filling directly affect the integrity of the subsequent HIP consolidation stage.

Technological Process Capabilities

Heating and vacuum degassing of granules.

Vacuum filling of degassed granules into capsules.

Hermetic sealing of granule-filled capsules.

Simultaneous filling of capsules or capsule elements with either homogeneous granules or granules with different size-fraction distributions, enabling functionally graded filling.

Vacuum degassing and hermetic sealing of capsules with a functionally graded fill.

Functional Purpose

To ensure capsule filling with a specified fill density.

To ensure full degassing of granules while taking into account the physicochemical characteristics of the granule material, the low thermal and electrical conductivity of granular beds, their poor gas permeability, and their high adsorption capacity.

To provide the basis for objective optimization of the key degassing parameters.

To ensure reliable hermetic sealing of filled capsules.

To implement these operations on the basis of modern, high-efficiency equipment with low material and energy consumption.
